Mission President Shot in Mexico, Please Pray for His Recovery

On Monday the Mission President of the Mexico Oaxaca Mission, Lynn Madsen was shot in the legs during an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Juchitan de Zaragoza, Mexico.

At around 6 p.m. two males between ages 16-18 came to the Subway building on a motorcycle. One of the men pointed a pistol at the people in Subway and began to take their belongings. When someone confronted the thief, a bullet was shot and passed through both of President Madsen’s legs.

The family is grateful for all the prayers that are being offered on President Madsen’s behalf. President Lynn Madsen is being treated in a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

I’m so grateful for how selflessly LDS Mission Presidents serve around the world. Both of my mission presidents are amazing people.
