- The whole zone went for a hike through the botanical garden in João Pessoa. We were accompanied by armored guards. It was really fun. (Aaron)
What was a crazy experience?
- When I lived in Caico, all the elders went for a hike up the mountain on P-day. We didn’t take enough water and it was 130 degrees by 10 AM. So on the way home, we stopped at a local’s house and they gave us, what we think was, pond water to drink. We drank it because we didn’t have much choice and we still had a few miles to go. We all got sick from it for 2 weeks. It was fun though. (Aaron)
What was a spiritual experience?
- My companion and I were asked to teach a kid that said he didn’t believe in God. So we went with some members to tech him. The member and him started to argue about God. The Spirit told both of us in a loud voice to leave. So before we left my companion told him, he could talk until he was blue in the face but it wouldn’t do any good, he just needed to pray. Two weeks later we saw him in the store and he told us we changed his life, he was going to do black magic until we came. He had prayed and got an answer. He was baptized a few weeks later so were a few of his friends. (Aaron)
